Over the past two weeks, the Laval Police Service (SPL) has carried out two searches which have led, among other things, to the seizure of 2355.06 grams of heroin and 21.5 grams of cocaine.
It was investigators from the SPL Organized Crime Squad who carried out this police operation linked to a narcotics distribution network.
A single sector
The searches were carried out in two residential buildings in Chomedey.
These interventions stemmed from information received to the effect that an individual linked to a criminal network would be involved in the distribution of heroin and cocaine.
During the investigation, the SPL was able to establish that the suspect was acting as a supplier for drug sellers who had an established clientele.
The police operation was therefore deployed in two phases, allowing investigators to seize several bladed weapons, cocaine, as well as a record quantity of heroin.
It should be noted that this action, which required the assistance of the Physical Surveillance, Intervention Group, Azimut, dog handlers, Forensic Identification and Analysis and Intelligence squads, is in line with the Wick Project.
Police record
The total value of everything confiscated is close to $200,000.
In addition to the drugs, the police seized a brass knuckles, retractable baton, folding knife and prohibited pistol magazine.
Other items collected by the SPL include two cell phones, as well as two vehicles.
