Several businesses and public services will adjust their hours or close at various times over the Easter long weekend.
On Friday, April 3, banks and credit unions, federal and provincial service centres, as well as Canada Post offices will be closed.
Shopping malls and retail stores, however, will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 5. Branches of the Société québécoise du cannabis will also be closed on that day.
It should be noted that federal and provincial service centres, along with Canada Post offices, will be closed again on Monday, April 6.
Municipal Services
Tax and urban planning counters will be closed on April 3 and 6, as will the citizen relations desk and the 311 phone service. The same applies to the municipal court, social emergency services, and community centres.
Libraries, the Maison des arts de Laval, and Salle Alfred-Pellan will be closed on Easter Sunday and Monday. The Aquatic Complex will be closed on Sunday only.
Arenas, the Centre de la nature, the municipal pound, the police station, and police headquarters will all remain open according to their regular schedules. Household garbage, organic waste, recycling, and bulky item collections will also continue as usual.
The ecocentre will be closed on Sunday, April 5.
Transportation
The Société de transport de Laval will also adjust its schedule for the Easter long weekend, operating on a Saturday schedule on April 3 and 6.
exo services, including commuter train line 12 which runs through Laval, will operate on a weekend schedule on Good Friday and maintain its regular schedule on Easter Monday.
Meanwhile, the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) will operate on a Sunday schedule on April 3 and 6.
