Over the past days, the Service de police de Laval (SPL) has made nine arrests linked to vehicle theft events.
Some of those thefts occurred in parking lots of hotel establishments, in Laval, and took place mainly at night.
The suspects, including three minors and six aged between 20 and 30, are facing charges of vehicle theft, as well as possession of burglary tools.
They were targeting valuable vehicles, including Honda CRV, Acura RDX, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler, Dodge Ram and Durango, as well as Ford F-150 and F-250.
Operation
Following a concentration of reports related to vehicle theft, the SPL deployed the operation called Project Quartz, which is the result of joint work between the police and investigators to counter this problem.
