Three restaurants and food establishments in Laval have been fined by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) since May 26th.
The total of the offenses amounts to $2,500.
The Fu Lam restaurant at Center Laval, at 1600 boulevard Le Corbusier, was notably sanctioned since the premises were not free of all species of animals, including rodents, insects or their excrement. The fine amounted to $1000.
This is a repeat offense for the place which was sanctioned by the MAPAQ in April.
Le Jardin des Saules, a private residence for seniors, was instead fined $1,000 because the premises were not designed, built and maintained in such a way as not to contaminate the products. This is also a repeat offense for this place.
The third location targeted by MAPAQ is the Pho Dzung restaurant, located at 1298, boulevard Curé-Labelle. The offense occurred in August 2022 and the fine is $500. MAPAQ deemed that the premises, equipment and materials used for the preparation and storage of the products were not clean.
Remember that a dozen Laval restaurants have been fined since the start of the year.
